Lucknow: Katyayani Bhatia, granddaughter of former mayor, Sanyukta Bhatia came to Lucknow from Canada to cast her vote
Amid the falling voting percentage in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, a pleasant and inspiring news has come. Especially for those people who consider the voting day as a holiday and go out for a walk and think what will happen with our single vote?
Former Lucknow Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia’s granddaughter is studying Mass Communication in Canada. Voting is to be held in Lucknow tomorrow on 20 May 2024. Former Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia’s wish was that we inspire everyone to vote 100 percent, but if the children of our own house miss out on voting, then what direction will we be able to give to the society. Therefore, we should first get 100 percent voting done in our family. Therefore, former Lucknow Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia has called her granddaughter Katyayani Bhatia from Canada to Lucknow for voting, now her granddaughter will return to Canada for studies after voting tomorrow.
Sanyukta Bhatia further said that if we give children the sanskar of voting at all costs from the beginning and introduce them to the importance of voting, then they will not let any of their votes go waste in life. We should instill this sanskar in them from the beginning.
Katyayani is the daughter of Reshu Bhatia and Prashant Bhatia.
Katyayani Bhatia, who came to Lucknow to vote, said that I am excited that I am going to vote for the first time for my country. Where parents do not call children studying in other states of the country to vote because they will have to pay for the fare, I consider myself lucky that I have got such a family that gives me sanskar and has called me back to India from abroad to vote. Voting is our duty more than our right.
Further, former Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia has appealed to all the people of Lucknow to vote tomorrow on 20/05/2024 and said that voting is our right and duty. Your one vote will decide your future and will provide security to the future of your future generations. Therefore, you must vote along with all your family members and friends in the interest of the country and make this great festival of democracy a success.
“Vote is my right” you must vote.
